"I want to create a sense of space and serenity in my art work. I feel that particularly now there is a need for this kind of communication, with the state of affairs of the world – people need solace from the everyday tumult of life. It is my hope that my art will take the viewer to a space that is comforting and uniquely theirs."

Mark Leavitt's original art is currently exhibited in galleries throughout California.

By using self-developed drawing and painting processes, Mark has built a reputation for excellence, which is validated by his many awards. Among his commissioned work are a 9' x 7' painting for the Boeing Corporation and several paintings for Moet Chandon Winery.

Mark Leavitt studied Fine Art for two years at Sonoma State University. In 1980, Mark received his degree in Graphic Design from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and has since then worked as a Graphic and Fine Artist.
